Although my career background was in personnel for 30 years, I have always been passionate about fitness, wellness and balance in body and mind. I have been actively dancing for the first half of my life and thereafter weight training until present. I have practical and teaching experience in Ballroom Dancing, Tap, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Irish Dancing on the art side and Keep Fit, Callanetics, Aerobics, Weight Training and Kataboxing on the fitness side all of which I did after hours outside of my professional endeavours.
In the last 2 years I qualified as a Personal Trainer and Life Coach in order to put a qualification behind the practical experience gained over the years and when semi-grating to Plett at the age of 50, I thought my body would be, at best, maintainable.
But I have news ladies and gents: I happened upon The Pilates Difference Studio via a neighbourly recommendation and did my training qualification in Pilates Mat, Pilates Suspension and Booty Barre and have never looked back. My muscles experienced a revelation as they stretched and toned into positions I thought impossible, honing my physique and nurturing my mind. With the correct breathing, posturing and knowledge of muscle potential, you’d be amazed what your body is capable of.
Pilates exercise is amazing at cushioning old injuries, embracing aging limitations, easing stiffness and sculpting your body and mind into the new you. There really should be no excuse! I look forward to embracing that challenge with you.
